  • Brilliant! Gatti is a supreme Wagnerian, gloriously aware of all the kinesthetic requirements. Schager is convincing, Nicolls among the great Isoldes I've heard. If your ambition is to increase your understanding of Tristan, beg, borrow or steal a ticket.

Opera di Roma

Taking its current name at the advent of the republic, Rome’s beautiful opera house, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma was first inaugurated in 1880, as Teatro Costanzi. The company hosted the world premiere of Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana and Puccini’s Tosca among others.
