  • When Diana Damrau enters as the Countess, a decade after singing Susanna on this stage, we get a performance of special gravitas. Even the orchestra, tight-reined under Franz Welser-Möst's baton, melts to such grace.

New Production! For the 225th anniversary of Mozart’s death, Teatro alla Scala presents a new staging of his delightful comic opera, entrusted to Frederic Wake-Walker, an extraordinary young director whose La finta giardiniera was the revelation of the 2014 Glyndebourne Festival.

The music will be steered by the one of the finest Mozart conductors of our times, Franz Welser-Möst, who will be appearing for the first time during an important new production at La Scala. Diana Damrau as the Countess heads an excellent cast, including Marianne Crebassa (Cherubino), Golda Schultz (Susanna), Markus Werba (Figaro) and Carlos Álvarez in the role of the Conte.

Screening at all locations, excl. Riverside. Balwyn will screen only on Sat & Sun due to ongoing venue refurbishment works.
