New Production!  Semyon Bychkov will conduct a cast of young, up-and-coming talent including American soprano Corinne Winters in this a new take on Mozart and Da Ponte’s masterpiece on the nature of love.

Director Jan Philipp Gloger has taken inspiration from the alternative title 'The School for Lovers' and will create a richly theatrical world as the playground for this quirky comedy, where two men try to woo each other’s partners for a bet. Don Alfonso (Johannes Martin Kränzle) – the puppet master of this experiment in love – is here a theatre director who uses all the sets, props and tricks of his trade to invent new scenes to challenge the lovers’ affections - leading to great music but distinctly unexpected results.

Screening at all locations, excl. Riverside. Balwyn will screen Sat/Sun only, per above.
