New Production! Visionary British theatre director Katie Mitchell brings Donizetti’s tragic masterpiece to Covent Garden for the first time in over a decade. The story follows an ongoing feud between two families in 17th-century Scotland that has terrible consequences for two young lovers (a mad third act ensues!). Lucia will be sung by German soprano Diana Damrau, while American tenor Charles Castronovo takes on the reckless Edgardo.
