  • Tchaikovsky's most majestic ballet gets the royal treatment. Such was the bravura playing both on stage and in the orchestra pit that it simply flew by. Individual moments shone like jewels in a perfect setting. A sumptuous banquet, beautifully presented.
    Neil Norman, THE STAGE
Sumptuous and sweeping. If you want spectacle at the ballet then this Sleeping Beauty is for you. With so much richness on stage, in costumes, sets and the sheer number of courtiers and fairytale characters, the view from the stalls is full to bursting.
    Debra Craine, THE TIMES

This Easter holidays, enter an enchanted world of princesses, fairy godmothers and magical spells, and celebrate 70 years of The Royal Ballet’s landmark production of Petipa’s classic ballet.

A perennial delight, The Sleeping Beauty combines the best of classical ballet, with all its charms and virtuosity, splendid music by Tchaikovsky and talented dancers. With wonderful ensembles, solos including the Rose Adage as Princess Aurora (Marianela Nuñez) meets her suitors, and of course the concluding celebratory dance for the happy union of prince (Vadim Muntagiorov) and princess, this is a spectacle like no other.

Screening at all locations.
